INDEPENDECE DAY CELEBRATIONS BY SLUM CHILDREN AT GOVT SCHOOL, PALSORA
The Chandigarh Environment & Cultural Club, an NGO under Partnership Initiative Programme (PIP) of Chandigarh Administration , celebrated India’s Independence Day with the Slum children at Govt. School (AIE Centre )Palsora Village . The Secretary of the NGO Club Mr. Harpreet Singh Ramgarhia distributed national flags, badges and sweets amongst the children and also shared with the significance of Independence Day celebrations. On this occasion the class teachers Ms.Santosh Rani, Mrs Surjeet Kumari and the staff enthusiastically participated Independence Day celebrations. The slum children narrated patriotic songs and poems on this occasion. While speaking on the occasion, Mr. Harpreet Singh Ramgarhia hoped that such celebrations would indeed inject the passion of patriotism amongst the children right from the childhood.

Govt Model Sr.Sec School Sec 21Tree Plantation



TREE PLANATION CAMPAIGN on 2-08-2010 at GOVT Model Senior Secondary School Sector 21 CHANDIGARH FOR THE PRSEVATION OF ENVIORNMENT
Working further under the scheme of Partnership Initiative Programme (PIP) and with the objective to save and preserve nature & environment, the Chandigarh Environment & Culture Club undertook Tree Plantation drive in association with Department of Forest & Environmet , along with other environmental friendly associations such as Mahila Parishad , Paryaran Sanrakshan Nyas ,Mr. Sachin Sharma , Mrs Promila Dass , Chief Guest Mr. Saurabh Kumar (Dy.Conservator of Forests ,Chandigarh Administration at Govt.Model School, Sector 21, Chandigarh. On this occasion as much as 50 medicinal Trees were planted. Amongst the present were Harpreet Singh Ramgarhia , Secretary (Environment) of Chandigarh Environment & Culture Club, Mrs. Prem lata Duggal President Mahila Parishad , Mrs Savita Sethi Paryaran Sanrakshan Nyas , Mr. Sachin Sharma, Mrs Promila Dass , Mr. Saurab
These plants were adopted by the school children for preserving the said plants, which will not only strengthen the passion of children in environment right from the childhood, it will also inject a sense of responsibility in them towards the nature and environment in the times to come. The dignitaries present on this occasion appreciated the well maintained and well equipped medicine plant nursery set by the Principal in the premises of the school,
